SPECIE'S NAME: Psychic
CLASS: Humanoid
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
It is hard to define clearly and with a high level of precision, the physical description of the psychics. Born of humans, psychics resemble the non-magic specie from head to toe with no noticeable difference, if it isn’t for their special capacities.
Their body composition is not of the strongest and offers only little protection against the cold and attacks. However, this feeble skin allows psychics to dry quickly and swim for a certain number of hours in lakes and various watery environment.
ABILITIES:
Psychics develop different powers during their lifetime. Since their body do not tend to show any special capacity, their abilities are quite limited to the magic they can use.
Here’s a list of the different fields of capabilities recorded to this day. Please note that psychics never develop their talents in all those fields and intense training enables them to learn new tricks and obtain higher levels of control.
Dowsing: Ability to locate objects. This power is usually channeled through the use of an object (for instance, a pendulum)
Foresight: Either through the form of dreams of visions, the psychics with foreseeing abilities are able to peek into the future. The clarity, frequency and amount of information granted by this ability greatly varies.
Seeing creatures of the other world: Also known under ability to see ghosts. This psychic ability enables the individual to see creatures and humans who have passed away.
Telekinesis: The ability to move objects. In most cases, this talent is limited to the weight that students can actually lift in a real life context.
Focused telekinesis (subcategory of telekinesis): Some psychics develop telekinetic abilities only over precise categories of things (for instance: water). Although highly limited, these individuals have a greater control of their power.
Telepathy: Communicating with other individuals through the use of mental communication. Although this does not imply that one can read the mind of others, a telepath is able to communicate with anyone that allows him to.
Teleportation: Individuals with this power are rare. The power of teleportation is one of the hardest to control, only offering the teleportation of the individual itself or an object on a small distance.
DRAWBACKS:
Born of human flesh and blood, psychics do not have a peculiar physical composition. Their closeness to the human race’s attributes give them a life expectancy of 100 years, 150 at most.
Due to their high resemblance to the human kind, and the fact that they are often children of non-magical humans, psychics do not always develop their powers. In most of the cases, they will be abandoned for any matters that relates to their magic capabilities. This means that psychics often develop a certain fear regarding their magical roots and refrain from developing their gifts until they are brought in a magical environment (like the school); which also implies that these psychics would not be as knowledgeable as other species when it comes to the magical universe.
Psychics are often frightened when they first step in the school, because they don’t know what awaits them.
HABITAT:
Psychics live among the human population; they have taken over the world in the last centuries. Although well hidden as part of the masses and within cities, a larger concentration of psychics can be found in places called asylums or psychiatric wards, in hospitals. When found in medical facilities, psychics have a tendency to be given special human medicine that reduces the efficiency of their powers.
The level at which humans do not accept difference is striking.

In a handwritten dark ink, you find a hidden note; written in what seems to be the Head Mistress' handwriting saying
Headmistress said:
Treat psychics with respect, they deserve to be in this school just as much as any other species.
