"Alright, what else could be needed?"
With a quick glance, Walharuna scanned the empty classroom in which she stood one last time. Often used for her psychic ceremonies, the place had not much to account for. On one side, the one opposite to the door, stood a giant book shelf that covered the wall from floor to ceiling and left to right. Obviously, a book shelf could not be left empty and so the Valkyrie had made sure to fill the majority of the shelves with books on the various subjects of mythologies, magics, scapes, and so on. Since her collection wasn't extensive enough to take over the entire storing area, the woman had decided to complete with candles, herbs, and all sorts of magic casting related elements. On the ground, Walharuna had placed a carpet with an extensive representation of the Dream Door and the Dead Scape, in hope that it would help her young student to that place. On this carpet, for comfort reasons, the Valkyrie had added a few pillows; perhaps it would also prevent the chances of her inexperienced student to smash her head on the stone floor. Who knows? Better safe than sorry.
Today's lesson was quite a special one. For the occasion she had invited the nymphs of the school, so far at the number of two. She wanted to obverse with them if it was possible to counter the Nymphic Loss Disorder through practice and guidance. This disorder was quite an uncommon one, but remained the main reason leading to the abandon, more commonly killing, of newborn nymphs. Due to the early death of the bearers of the NLD, not much was known on the subject, only tall tales that were whispered all around the globe. According to the common belief, the birth of twin nymph children was bound to cause the NLD in the last born of the duo. This bastard child, "who could be mean enough to call a child bastard?" would never be able to control her powers and basically would become a being of nymphic appearances, but human powers. So, no powers whatsoever. In the rare occasions where the twins were both kept alive, it was a recurring story for the misfitted being to attempt to kill her older sister, as well as the members of her clan. A revenge of sorts, for her difference. It was recommended for the mothers of such atrocious duos to kill both children because the child with NLD could somehow influence her sister even in death. "Obviously, nonsense stories to kill whatever is unusual within a society," sighed the Valkyrie. Unfortunately, this was all she knew on the matter, there wasn't an extensive existing literature on the subject.
Today's goal was simple.
The Valkyrie pulled out her research paper with a proud smile,
Turn this 100 pages book, with 97 blank pages; hence 3 pages with script only (1 of these used for the title page and the others to say that it's impossible to study the phenomenon), into a proper reference work.
Why?
Perhaps this would diminish the amount of NLD related deaths around the globe.
When?
Welp, today obviously.
How?
Attempt to train the nymph with NLD to access the Dead Scape. To do so, I intend to ask the dominant twin to guide her sister through the Dream Door. I will offer some guidance along the way.
Where?
In this NLD-proof (hopefully) room (it has loads and loads of pillows).
Who?
The test subjects are Eyildr and Elevine, two nymphs of 12 years of age and with an oceanic nymph mother. They have been studying at the Scholae Elementorum for a good 3 weeks now. I do believe that they are ready to partake in this case-study. I have sent them invitations at the beginning of the week (see annex I & II) to meet up with me on Friday September 18th at 4 PM in this ritual room. They have accepted of their own free will.
Oldest twin of the duo. She obviously does not suffer from NLD although her powers seem to be quite limited for a child her age. According to what I have collected from Pharos' class, she simply hasn't understood that she is a storm nymph yet.I plan on exploring this possibility during my next advanced weapon class, I am planning on changing their grades on Pharos' notes so he sends them to me quite fast. More information on the subject to come.Alright, apparently this is illegal. So I will talk about the matter with Pharos as soon as he stops walking around the school and not being in his office whenever I go check around 1AM every day, after my daily scape travel from 8PM to 12:58AM.
Elevine Malm-HriĆ°
Younger twin of the two. She suffers from the NLD. She is extremely talented in battle and protective towards her sister. I am planning on giving her advanced classes as soon as she accepts my invitation. Pharos tends to keep his groups for at least a year before allowing students to go on to the next level, but she is already way passed his area of expertise. From my observations, she seems to have developed telekinetic power on which she has great control; perhaps an even greater one than her sister.
Here's the corrected version the Headmistress wanted me to send, but it was far too late already.
Apparently we're not supposed to add marks of familiarity like "love" at the end of officials letters. I don't really understand why.

Walharuna closed the file with a large grin and a nod in self-approval, this research paper was perfectly well done. It would be spoken of for generations and used as an example in all the existing classes on research papers.
That understatement made to herself, the Valkyrie checked the time, 3:58, the girls would show up in no time; she knew Eyildr wouldn't let her down.

Abstract
This paper is the formal version of the study conducted by Walharuna during the Fall of the year 2015. The purpose of this research is to expend the knowledge of the Nymphic Loss Disorder (NLD) which is, to this day, still minimal. The only research conducted, to this day, dates back to Bill's Cyoher's time, 200 years ago. I'll finish writing this weird abstrat thing as soon as I get actual knowledge on the matter, please give me time. So for now I'll just mention that I hope that this will show the gods that I am dedicated to whatever I do and I cannot stand being a simple bystander. I mean, it's cool to bring the souls of the dead in Valhalla, but sometimes you just gotta take part in the war, you don't want to see history go by without ever being able to have a say on the matter. You know what I mean? I hope that you'll allow me to fight when Ragnarok bulrushes in, there's no way that I would let that pass by without doing anything to help out humanity. Walharuna, I have given you the right to complete this study on the conditions that you would modify your research paper for it to be scientifically accepted. Screwing up with the girls' grades is not something that I judge scientifically acceptable. Please attend one of Pharos' classes instead or ask them personally for an afternoon. They are humanoid beings, not purely subjects of inquiry for your personal questionings.Elevine Malm-HriĆ°

ANNEX I
ANNEX II
Here's the letter I sent to the twins, a week ago.
Dear Elevine and Eyildr,
my name is Walharuna, Eyildr probably remembers me from the best class she ever had. As for you Elevine, you have seen me during your last class with Pharos, I was standing in a corner and observing the action. I mean, I have to get sure that the fire guy doesn't teach you all stuff that isn't worth learning or inaccurate.
Anyways, here's the deal.
I wish to conduct a study on the Nymphic Loss Disorder (NLD), the illness from which you suffer, Elevine. Since cases are quite rare and I happen to have you two in arm's reach, I have decided to ask you both for your participation. In the eventuality that you may not be interested, I have a small deal for you girls. Come to help me next week, it'll be a simple session; like the classes I gave you Eyildr, and I'll give you some additional fighting classes, if so you wish. Bail out on me and I'll accidentally stumble upon Pharos' grading book and fail you both.
See you Friday September 18th in my class at 4 PM!
Love
Walharuna
ANNEX II
Here's the corrected version the Headmistress wanted me to send, but it was far too late already.
Dear Elevine and Eyildr,
this letter's purpose is to invite you two to partake in a simple case study that I wish to realize on the Nymphic Loss Disorder (NLD), the illness from which Elevine suffers. According to the little knowledge we have on the matter, this disorder always strikes the second twin of a nymph and keeps her from developing her powers, either at all, or properly. In this case, I do believe that it is simply that Elevine has developped them differently, but I have to prove that if I want to make a point.
This research could save the life of hundreds of twin nymphs from a certain death (mothers commonly kill their twins in your culture, did you know that?).
The research I would conduct this September 18th at 4PM is a simple and completely safe one. I would ask Eyildr to help Elevine to cross through the Dream Door and reach the Dead Scape, nothing too bad. The only danger is for Elevine to accidentally hit her head, if ever she falls unconscious that is.
I hope that you two girls will accept to participate!
Love
Walharuna
